Sangareddy: Health minister T. Harish Rao said on Friday that all surveys indicated that the BRS would win the upcoming state elections with a thumping majority and form the government for the third time. He said that people had witnessed development at their doorsteps and decided to bless the BRS.
Rao also attacked the Congress, saying that it was known for deception while the BRS was known for confidence. He said BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had achieved Telangana statehood by staging a fast-unto-death protest, and that he was now trying to protect the interests of the separate state. He alleged that the Opposition parties were trying to destabilise Telangana.
Rao said that neighbouring Karnataka state was a classic example of the misrule of the Congress. He also criticised the Congress for copying the schemes introduced by KCR. He said the BRS manifesto catered to the needs of all sections of society, and that Rs 5 lakh insurance coverage would be given to one crore people.
He also said that if KCR had a revenge mentality, half the Congress leaders would have been behind bars.
