Hyderabad: Clash between a group of BRS and Congress workers clashed injuring a Congress activist in Bharatnagar, Borananda, late on Monday night. Imran, the Congress worker who suffered injuries has been shifted to hospital, said Borabanda police.
Following the incident, Mohammed Azaruddin, Congress candidate in Jubilee Hills constituency along with his supporters reached the spot. West zone DCP Joel Davis also rushed to the scene and took control of the situation. Police dispersed the mob.
A large number of Congress workers reached the police station and demanded action against the responsible. DCP Joel Davis assured them that action would be taken against those who are responsible for the attack.
Azharuddin who came to the police station demanded immediate arrest of the person who attacked Imran. Police registered a case and launched a probe.
