KCR has minted crores by selling govt. lands: Thakur
Hyderabad: Union minister for information and broadcasting Anurag Thakur stated that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has set a dubious record by selling government lands in the past few years in Telangana. He failed to distribute lands that were promised to dalits but sold prime lands, Thakur said.
The Union minister was at a BJP roadshow from rural police station to Ambedkar chowrasta in Siddipet in support of party candidate Dudhi Srikanth Reddy on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Telangana is in the clutches of a corrupt administration while BRS has become synonymous with corruption.
Telangana state was achieved with the sacrifices of youth, who fought for the cause relentlessly, the union minister said. Rao assured to give one lakh jobs to the youth, but never was keen on implementing it, he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Telangana several times, but Rao failed to meet him, he said. Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project is a big scam, he alleged.
Modi sanctioned crores of rupees for developmental activities in Telangana, but the BRS government failed to carry them forward, he said, while adding that BRS and the Congress have similar ideologies and had to be shunted out from Telangana, he said.
Rao’s daughter, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha was caught in Delhi liquor scam. She made crores in collusion with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Thakur alleged.
"We will ensure a minimum support price to farmers for their agricultural produce, while LPG cylinders will be made available at Rs 400’ each," he said.
