Vijayawada: AP Telugu Desam president K. Atchannaidu demanded an inquiry into the land deals involving former minister K. Kannababu’s brother Kalyan Krishna and his supporters.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the TD state president pointed out that Dr. Siva Kiran Choudhary had given his land documents to Kalyan Krishna, his follower Pedababu and personal assistant Balaji after the latter wanted to purchase the land.
But when they failed to pay the agreed amount, Dr. Siva Kiran asked the ex-minister's kin either to pay the money for the land purchased from him or give back the property documents. Atchannaidu charged that the YSRC leaders threatened the doctor when he sought money or documents from them.
As a result, Dr. Siva Kiran got deeply troubled and committed suicide. Following this, Dr. Siva Kiran’s mother lodged a complaint with the police. The TD leader demanded that a probe be ordered into the death of Dr. Siva Kiran as well as the land deals of Kannababu’s brother Kalyan Krishna and his supporters Pedababu and Balaji.
