Hyderabad: BRS working president and IT minister K.T.Rama Rao asked why were Union minister G. Kishan Reddy and BJP leaders celebrating the Telangana High Court orders transferring the poachgate investigation to the CBI.
In a media statement on Tuesday, Rama Rao said when Kishan Reddy and BJP leaders repeatedly claimed that they had nothing to do with case or with the accused, they should answer why they were jumping with joy.
He asked if they were ready for narcoanalysis and lie detector tests on the accused along with the CBI probe, if they strongly believed that the BJP had nothing to do with poachgate case.
"Kishan Reddy and BJP leaders are celebrating High Court orders terming it as "BJP's victory". With these celebrations, they themselves exposed their true colours," Rama Rao stated.
Terming the CBI as a puppet in the hands of the BJP, Rama Rao said, "With these celebrations, the BJP leaders themselves are clearly indicating that the CBI is their pocket organisation and they would come out of this case if CBI investigates.”
He said: “There was a time when people or accused used to fear if the CBI investigated the case, with the belief that truth would come out. Today, BJP leaders are celebrating if case is handed over to CBI. This clearly proves how BJP government at the Centre reduced CBI to a namesake agency."
