YSRC challenges Naidu, Lokesh to contest from Gudivada, Gannavaram
VIJAYAWADA: Former minister and Gudivada YSR Congress MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao Nani has challenged Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and party general secretary Lokesh to contest from Gudivada and Gannavaram assembly constituencies respectively.
Addressing a gathering after garlanding a bronze statue of NTR at Gudivada in Krishna district, Nani alleged that Chandrababu is prepared to backstab people in the coming elections by using the name of NTR, whom he had backstabbed to become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
“Chandrababu snatched Telugu Desam Party from NTR and was responsible for the latter’s death,” the former minister remarked.
He pointed out that under the leadership of Chandrababu, TD collapsed in Telangana state. He predicted that similarly, TD will disappear in Andhra Pradesh in the 2024 elections.
