Thakre hints at Left tie-up for TS polls
Hyderabad: AICC Telangana incharge Manikrao Thakre on Monday said that the party has not formally started any discussion with Left parties, but confirmed that he spoke with them on the phone.
In an informal chat with the media, he said, “The procedure will be followed on the announcement of seats and it's not going to be decided by any one individually. It will be a collective decision, unlike the BRS. We are in a good situation and dissensions are at a minimum now. People want to stop the loot of KCR. Rahul's Bharat Jodo Yatra has helped us. BCs will get maximum seats. OBC, Minority and Mahila declarations are pending now. The seats will be announced in two phases.”
Referring to Amit Shah’s speech in Khammam on Sunday, he said, “’His speech criticising BRS is to fool the people. We are forming the government in the state. The BRS has looted the state in the name of irrigation projects. Surveys are increasingly giving us more seats.”
“We are open to anyone meeting anyone who wants to help us,” he said, referring to the meetings with R. Krishnaiah, among others.
“The discussions about seats with the Left have not happened yet. We called them during Munugode also. Surveys showing the falling prospect of a party is indicative of its downfall. The BRS will lose,” said Rohit Chowdhary, AICC secretary.
