MP Madhav says he Talked of Naidu's Political Death
Anantapur: Hindupur MP Gorantla Madhav on Sunday clarified after Telugu Desam leaders strongly objected to the MP’s comments that TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu will die in 2024 while Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will continue as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Some senior TD leaders went on to interpret that the statement reveals YSRC government’s intention to harm the former chief minister while under detention in the Rajahmundry Central Prison.
Addressing a meeting while on the ruling YSRC social justice bus yatra at Singanamala in Anantapur district, Gorantla Madhav accused Telugu Desam leaders of misleading people about his speech.
The MP said he had stated that Naidu will politically die after 2024 elections because Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will win because of the series of welfare programmes that have benefitted all sections of people in the state.
“My speech has been represented in a working way. I am firm in saying that Naidu will have no political future after 2024. TD will have to shut down. I did not talk about the physical death of Naidu,” he clarified.
Madhav alleged that his flow of words had been misinterpreted and negatively spread by TD leaders across the state.
