Owaisi questions Jaishankar on terrorism in India
Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi asked what external affairs minister Dr S. Jaishankar had done about terrorism in the country before talking about the situation abroad.
Responding to a message on (X) Twitter by the minister, Owaisi wrote, “Forget abroad, Modi government decides if something is terrorism or not based on the victims’ religion. Families who lost their dear ones in the Jaipur Express terror attack didn’t even get a condolence from the Prime Minister’s office.”
“Many in your party have openly supported Dharam Sansads demanding genocides and ethnic cleansing of Muslims. Learn to take a stand at home so that you are taken seriously abroad. What is the “strong” and “credible” government doing to bring back our eight ex-naval officers?” he wrote.
Earlier, Dr Jaishankar had written, "We will take "strong position on terrorism because we are big victims of terrorism". He adds, "We will have no credibility if we say when terrorism impacts us, it’s very serious when it happens to somebody else, it's not serious."
