Revanth dares KCR to visit Karnataka via Kaleshwaram
HYDERABAD: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday asked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to visit Karnataka to check if the Congress government had implemented its Five Guarantees.
A luxury bus is ready for the tour. Shall we come to Pragathi Bhavan or your farmhouse,” Revanth Reddy asked, and wondered if Chandrashekar Rao had the guts to visit the area around the damaged Medigadda barrage, which is a part of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme.
Speaking at the Congress Vijayabheri bus yatra in Sangareddy and Medak Assembly constituencies on Sunday, Revanth Reddy said, “Chandrashekar Rao asked me ‘Rate-entha Reddy’ (What is your rate, Reddy),’ but no one has been born who can purchase me. KCR should note that the abbreviation of his name Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao is KaChaRa, which means garbage.”
Criticising Rao for compromising on the interests of Telangana, Revanth Reddy reiterated that the Congress, after coming to power, would strictly implement its Six Guarantees. The BRS began a false campaign over the Five Guarantees in Karnataka and had hired labourers from Karnataka to mislead people in Telangana, he alleged.
He said BRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao had fled from the challenge of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to visit Karnataka and see for himself the implementation of the party’s promises.
Accusing the BRS chief of trying to escape from his responsibility for the damage to the Kaleshwaram project, Revanth Reddy said the real aim of Telangana state was not fulfilled in the last 10 years of BRS rule and only Indiramma Rajyam will realise the cause of Telangana state.
Chandrashekar Rao, Revanth Reddy said, should take permanent rest in his farmhouse after December 9.
Addressing the meeting, Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress will distribute the wealth of Telangana to the people equally as stated in the party’s Six Guarantees.
Bhatti said that Rahul Gandhi termed the ensuing Assembly elections as a battle between people and feudal forces. “The Congress granted Telangana state and its rule will fulfil the dreams of the people,” he said, adding that all the Six Guarantees will be implemented within 100 days of the Congress government.
