K\'taka BJP president seeks explanation over leaders sharing stage with rowdy sheeter
BENGALURU: Facing embarrassment over party leaders sharing dais with a rowdy sheeter at a function in Bengaluru, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday sought an explanation from the leaders who attended a blood donation camp organised by rowdy sheeter “Silent” Sunil in Chamrajpet on November 27.
The blood donation camp was attended by BJP MPs Tejasvi Surya, P.C. Mohan, president of BJP Bengaluru South N.R. Ramesh among others even as the their pictures went viral while Congress party was quick to criticise them over attending a camp organised by a rowdy sheeter of Bengaluru.
Taking a serious note of the matter, Nalin Kumar Kateel cautioned the party leaders to be careful in future. Kateel said that the party will not tolerate its leaders sharing dais with those involved in anti-social activities and those supporting destructive activities in the country.
Meanwhile, Congress party leader Randeep Singh Surjewala in a series of tweets came down heavily on BJP saying “Rowdy sheeters who can’t be found during raid by the police are found with BJP leaders on public platform, joining politics and inspired by Modi.” In another tweet, he said “Those involved in betting in the past, now also inspired by BJP and Modi.”
