Congress leaders pray for party win in Telangana
Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, AICC Telangana incharge Manikrao Thakare, and other senior leaders took part in special prayers at Birla Temple and Nampally Dargah in the city. The prayers sought divine intervention for the Congress' victory in the upcoming Assembly polls.
The leaders carried copies of the Congress manifesto and six guarantees, pledging before God that the party would fulfil its promises if voted to power. This spiritual prelude took place a day before the scheduled polling on Thursday.
Simultaneously, senior Congress leaders convened at Gandhi Bhavan to strategise at the booth level for the impending polls. Through teleconferences, they connected with booth committee members and poll agents across every Assembly constituency. Clear instructions were provided to remain vigilant throughout the polling process, starting from the mock polling at 5.30 am until the conclusion at 5 pm. Particular emphasis was placed on monitoring the secure transportation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) from polling booths to strong rooms after polling concludes.
The Congress 'war room' at Indira Bhavan in Gandhi Bhavan premises is operating on high alert. District incharges, constituency incharges, and booth incharges received directives to promptly update the war room on polling percentage and trends every hour.
Furthermore, leaders were tasked with keeping the voter list readily available, reaching out to every voter, and ensuring their active participation in the voting process. Special efforts were urged to boost the polling percentage in their respective booths.
Notably, special instructions were issued regarding the identification and outreach to migrant voters who may have relocated for employment reasons. Leaders were directed to make necessary arrangements for their travel to reach polling booths and cast their votes.
