Vizag MP seeks proof of land grabbing
Visakhapatnam: Vizag MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana on Tuesday denied allegations of land grabbing and said that he did not indulge in any form of land grabbing anywhere as being reported in a section of media.
“I am ready to face any punishment if it is proved that I grabbed others land,” the MP told media persons in Visakhapatnam, a day after it was reported that he had a row with an Intelligence Bureau official over a small stretch of land in Madhurawada.
He alleged some vested interests and few media houses were trying to malign his name by spreading wrong messages as they were unable to digest his growth in politics. These forces also cannot defeat Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against whom these media houses were working, he said.
These forces are not realising that rumours of land grabbing would bring bad name to Visakhapatnam city, the MP added.
Reacting to Nara Lokesh’s comments that YSRC leaders were grabbing land in Visakhapatnam, Satyanarayana said Lokesh was most welcome to Visakhapatnam as he was ready to face any inquiry.
Regarding the present land case, the MP said the intelligence official purchased 500 square yards and came to know recently that only 167 square yards was private land and the rest owned by the government.
