Hyderabad: As part of ongoing campaign in support of Rahul Gandhi, over 100 activists from youth Congress took out a ‘save democracy mashaal rally’ in Amberpet late Tuesday night.
Holding torches and raising slogans against the Union government for victimizing Rahul Gandhi, the youth walked from Vishal mart to Mutyalamma temple.
“BJP is resorting to vendetta politics and we are questioning the autocratic government. We wish to send a clear message that we are ready to go to any extent to bring down the fascist BJP government and put an end to the open loot by Adani and his ilk,” said Motha Rohit, the city youth Congress president.
On Wednesday, several senior Congress leaders, including heads of frontal organisations, participated in a protest at Ambedkar’s statue on Tank Bund. They said that BJP was murdering democracy.
Leaders like Shaik Abdullah Sohail, Nuthi Srikanth, Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Ramulu Naik, Arham Adil and others representing SC, ST,OBC and minorities participated in the protest.
