VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress leaders, including ministers, have objected to remarks of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth praising TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Minister R.K. Roja said NTR's soul is hurt by Rajinikanth's comments at NTR’s birth centenary, as the Tamil superstar has spoken ignoring the way Naidu, lusting for power, backstabbed NTR.
Roja asked why Naidu, despite being the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for 14 years, had not worked towards getting Bharat Ratna for NTR. She rubbished Rajinikanth’s prediction that Naidu will come back to power in 2024.
AP Telugu and Sanskrit Academy chairperson and wife of NTR Nandamuri Lakshmiparvathi said if Rajinikanth is sincere, he should keep in mind the words spoken by NTR during his last days. She commented that Rajinikanth has not bothered to do this. So people will give no credence to the words of Rajinikanth.
Lakshmiparvathi stated that Chandrababu is only using Rajinikanth to get closer to BJP. She stated that many surveys show that people are supporting Jagan's regime. To shift focus, Chandrababu is using movie people, she remarked.
Former minister and YSRC MLA Kodali Venkateswara Rao said Naidu is now using Rajinikanth to blackmail Jana Sena, chief K. Pawan Kalyan. He hoped Pawan would understand the wicked politics of the TD chief.
