VHR Blames BJP for Manipur Violence

HYDERABAD: TPCC senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao, a former MP, on Sunday alleged that the BJP government at the Centre had failed to prevent the ongoing violence in Manipur, and failed to control it once it had spread throughout the state.

Hanumantha Rao was speaking at a protest rally held at Khammam by the ’Bharosa’ organisation on Sunday. Hanumantha Rao said that a number of youth and women were killed in Manipur. Even though the law and order situation had broken down, the BJP government at the Centre had completely failed in taking measures to prevent violence.

"We extend our solidarity for victims and their family members and demand that the Central government brings normalcy in Manipur. The government must take measures to stop violence in Manipur," Hanumatha Rao said.
