PM Modi to Address Meet in Mahbubnagar Today
HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is all set to launch the BJP’s Legislative Assembly election campaign at a public meeting in Mahbubnagar on Sunday, made it clear that when he takes to the stage, the people can expect some fireworks.
Modi posted his caution the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in Telugu and in English, indicating that his speech could well be a no holds barred affair: “People of Telangana are tired of the lacklustre governance of BRS. They are also equally distrustful of Congress..”
He said “I will be addressing a @BJPTelangana rally in Mahbubnagar on October 1… Both BRS and Congress are dynastic parties who have no aim of serving people.”
He said he will be launching and laying foundation stones for projects all worth more than '13,500 crore. “These works cover diverse sectors including roads, connectivity, energy, railways and more. I am looking forward to doing this. These projects will bring great benefits to the people of Telangana” Modi said.
In addition to these, there is a likelihood of Modi addressing some long-pending issues for the state including sharing of Krishna river water with Andhra Pradesh.
"The PM will address rallies in Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad. Works worth more than '20,000 crore are going to be launched during the event. Modi will sanction long-held demands of the people of these districts," TS BRS president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy said.
Modi is scheduled to follow up his Sunday meeting in Mahbubnagar with another in Nizamabad on October 3. The BJP has made elaborate arrangements for the public meeting in Mahbubnagar on Sunday where it expects an audience of over one lakh people.
“KCR hatao Telangana bachao” is now a people’s slogan. People at the grassroots are with the BJP, Kishan Reddy said.
Sunday’s visit marks the start of a jam-packed schedule of campaign for the BJP in Telangana, which according to the party will see some 30 meetings across the state to be addressed by various leaders including Union home minister Amit Shah, party president J.P. Nadda, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Among the various projects Modi will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation or lay the foundation stone for, are the inaugural Kacheguda-Raichur train, several facilities at the University of Hyderabad, road projects including on the Warangal-Khammam-Vijayawada route as well as from Suryapet to Khammam, the Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG pipeline project and the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd Krishnapatnam-Hyderabad line.
