YSRC govt firm on promises, Says Mutyala Naidu
Visakhapatnam: Deputy chief minister Budi Mutyala Naidu said the YSRC always stood by the promises made to various sections of people before the elections.
The deputy chief minister addressed a gathering in Devarapalli in Anakapalli district on Friday while distributing Rs 13.41 crore worth of Vahana Mitra funds to the owners of taxis, cabs, autorickshaws, and maxi cabs.
Speaking on the occasion, Mutyala Naidu said these funds would help the vehicle owners pay annual maintenance costs, insurance premiums, and fitness fees. He distributed these funds to 13,590 beneficiaries at the rate of Rs 10,000 belonging to Anakapalli district.
In another event in the same village of Devarapalli, the deputy chief minister cleaned drains and streets as a part of Swachata Hi Seva, which was launched on September 15 and would continue till October 2.
Later, he led a rally of school students on the streets and made children garland the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Mutyala Naidu himself served tea to the sanitary workers, appreciating their work. He also honoured them with shawls and gave each of them a rice bag.
Sarpanches of surrounding villages, local party workers, and students participated in the programme in a big way.
