BJP to use 50 vehicles for Vikasit Bharat campaign in AP
Vijayawada: BJP AP president Daggubati Purandeswari on Thursday said they are commissioning 50 mobile rathams as part of the Vikasit Bharat campaign in various parts of Andhra Pradesh to educate people about the various schemes launched by the central government in India to benefit different sections of people.
She unveiled the Vikasit Bharat Calendar, five lakh of which will be distributed to people in AP. Further, she inaugurated an exhibition titled Vikasit Bharat Chaya comprising films on various schemes of the Narendra Modi government.
Purandeswari said her party has launched the Vikasit Bharat programme all over the country to remove the impression being created by various state governments that the schemes are their own. She accused Jagan Mohan Reddy government of putting its stickers and promoting the central schemes as its own.
“The rathams we are launching will let people of villages in the state know about the schemes that the central government is implementing for the benefit,” the BJP state president stated.
She declared that hospitals in Andhra Pradesh have stopped Arogyasri services in the state, as the Chief Minister has not settled the bills towards the services these hospitals have rendered to various patients. She underlined that Ayushman Bharat being implemented by the BJP-led central government is providing ₹5 lakh as medical assistance for poor undergoing treatment of the major ailments.
“We are going to educate the public about this through our rathams,” Purandeswari underlined.
Responding to the ruckus at Nagarjunasagar between AP and Telangana states on release of water from the dam, she found fault with Jagan government for not resolving the issues of sharing water with the neighbouring states for the past four and half years. She further asked what the state government is doing when drought is prevailing in 400 mandals of AP.
Earlier in the day, Purandeswari started training classes for MPTC and municipal councillors of the party at the state office of BJP.
