Like Kanti Velugu, dental and ENT tests will be conducted across Telangana.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed officials to record the health profile of every individual after conducting diagnostic tests. He said similar to the Kanti Velugu camps, screening tests for people across the state for ear, nose, dental and throat problems should be conducted.

He said based on the health profile of every individual, the health status of the people of the state should be prepared. He added that for the ensuing elections to the Panchayat Raj, arrangements had been made in the state.

Mr Rao instructed the officers to expedite completion of the lift irrigation projects of Kaleshw-aram, Palamuru-Ranga-reddy, Sitarama, Dindi, Sriramsagar revival scheme and others. The CM told them to prepare a draft report as to what extent and at what stage of completion each and every project was in.

He wanted to know how much work was still left, the money required in future and the drawbacks. Mr Rao made it clear that even next year in the Budget adequate budgetary provision would be made for irrigation projects in addition to mobilizing funds from various sources.
