BJP to start working on its Telangana state manifesto
HYDERABAD: With Assembly elections in Telangana state just about six months away, the BJP is making preparations to work on, and finalise its manifesto. State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday asked the party’s task force committee to study and prepare what needs to be done for the welfare of the people from all sections of society.
The focus of the report to be prepared by the task force will be on welfare for the poor, and improving the lives of the middle classes. Also, part of the focus will be on SC, ST, and BC welfare. The party’s task force, headed by former TSPSC member Ch. Vithal has been told to hold meetings with experts on these matters and submit a report to the party which will then be discussed by the state BJP core committee to be made a part of the Telangana BJP’s manifesto for the Assembly elections.
The party’s task force is scheduled to have its first meeting on Wednesday where it will also take stock of Sanjay Kumar’s five-phase Praja Sangrama Yatra, the complaints he received from people and the assurances he had given during the course of his padayatra through several districts of the state.
The BJP has already promised that it will provide free education, and healthcare, and declare and implement an annual job calendar with timely recruitment to government jobs. The party had also recently announced a ‘BC Declaration’ in which it had said that it was alive to the injustices done to the Backward Class communities in the state with a promise to make corrections in policy and implementation of welfare measures to this section of the population that is nearly half of the total number of people in the state.
