Jagan to visit Visakhapatnam today, many events lined up
Vijayawada/Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Visakhapatnam on Tuesday to take part in several programmes.
According to a release from the CMO on Monday, Jagan Mohan Reddy would leave his Tadepalli residence at 9.30 am. He will perform bhoomi puja for construction of Inorbit Mall near Port Hospital at Kailasapuram. Later, he would set the stone on the same campus for 50 developmental works of the GVMC.
The CM will proceed to Andhra University Campus at Siripuram and inaugurate five projects including Element, A Hub, Algorithm, AU-SIB, AU-Avanti Aquaculture Innovation and Skill Hub.
The Element is Andhra University’s pharma incubation and biological monitoring hub. It is a Pharma, Bio Tech, Genomics incubation and testing lab. It is built with an outlay of Rs 44 crore to promote innovation, start-ups in drug research and pharmacy verticals.
A Hub is an Andhra University start-up and technology incubation hub. It is built with an outlay of Rs 21 crore. This facility has incubated 121 start-ups.
Algorithm is Andhra University’s digital zone and smart classrooms complex. Its built-up cost is Rs 35 crore. It has two modern seminar halls of 250 capacity each, 15 smart classrooms along with a dedicated floor equipped with 500 computer systems that would be utilised for training and online testing purposes.
AU-SIB is Andhra University’s School of International Business. With an outlay of Rs 18 crore, it has been built under an MoU with IIM Visakhapatnam. This would offer specialised bachelor and master programmes in International Business and Analytics.
AU-Avanti Aquaculture Innovation and skill hub is built with an outlay of Rs 11 crore under an MoU with Avanthi Foundation to offer skill training and entrepreneurship in marine farming, processing and packaging.
