Ministers target Congress and Revanth Reddy for attack on BRS MP

Hyderabad: The BRS continued to target the Congress for “inciting violence” against ruling party leaders, declaring that the opposition party was in the grip of disappointment and helplessness and was resorting to such tactics out of frustration.

Agriculture minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy addressing a press conference along with former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy who joined the BRS in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday, said the “uncivilised behaviour and words of Congress leaders is an incitement to their workers to take up violence. We believe that the attack on Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, our candidate from Dubbak, is a result of this.”

In Dharmapuri, where he is seeking re-election, minister Koppula Eshwar was more direct, declaring that the attack on Prabhakar Reddy was encouraged by Telangana Congress president A. Revanth Reddy.

“He is responsible for the attack. Despite a day having passed since the incident, no Congress leader has condemned it. The Congress is unable to face the BRS on the election ground and is resorting to physical attacks. Murder politics are not good for democracy and political challenges must be faced in electoral battles. No one will pardon Congress for its actions,” he said.
