YSRC, TD Leaders Visit Accident Site
Vizianagaram: In the aftermath of a tragic collision between two trains on the Howrah-Chennai line in Vizianagaram district, YSRC and TD leaders hurried to the accident scene, expressing their deep sorrow over the incident.
Deputy Chief Minister Budi Muthyalanaidu visited the site in Vizianagaram district. He assessed the gravity of the accident and held discussions with relevant officials regarding the incident's details and relief efforts for the injured.
Muthyalanaidu said, "CM Jagan is monitoring the severity of the accident at all times. The CM emphasised that improved medical care is being offered to accident victims in both public and private hospitals."
He said that urgent requests were made to provide medical services to those in need. District authorities were on high alert at the Vizianagaram collector's office, coordinating assistance and information for the victims.
Education minister Botsa Satyanarayana arrived at the accident site early Sunday morning, expressing his shock over the train mishap and remaining until CM Jagan's visit.
Deputy Speaker Kolagatla Veerabhadraswamy visited GGH to inquire about medical assistance, while around fifty doctors at Vizianagaram Government General Hospital were providing medical services to the victims. Anilasundari, the superintendent of GGH, informed Kolagatla about the treatment of the seriously injured individuals, with three of them in critical condition.
Visakhapatnam MP and East constituency YSRCP coordinator M.V.V. Satyanarayana also expressed profound shock regarding the accident and contacted the railway DRM to understand the relief measures in the affected area.
TD MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, TD leader Palla Srinivasa Rao, Visakha Parliament in charge Matukumilli Bharat, and MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu arrived at the accident site to oversee the ongoing rescue operations. TD leaders expressed their shock after witnessing the fatality and severity of the train accident in Kantakapalli.
Western Constituency MLA Ganababu, S. Kota former MLA and in-charge Kolla Lalita Kumari, and Bheemili in-charge Korada Rajababu also visited the scene.
