Chhattisgarh AAP chief, six other state leaders resign from party
Raipur: Chhattisgarh unit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Kamal Hupendi along with six other AAP leaders in the state on Tuesday resigned from the party.
Others who have resigned from the party were Anand Prakash Mary, senior vice-president of Chhattisgarh unit of AAP, Vishal Kelkar, state secretary, Ravindra Singh Thakur, state booth wing head of party, Dharam Bhargav, chief of state SC wing of the party, Kamal Kant Sahu, state OBC wing of the party, and Basant Kuzur, state ST wing of the party.
Mr Hupendi hailed from tribal-dominated Bastar in Chhattisgarh and joined AAP five years ago.
Senior spokesman of APP in Chhattisgarh Suraj Upadhya said that the party was formed with an objective to provide better health and education and good governance.
He said that it appeared the AAP leaders who quit the party have lost the will to work to realise the objectives of the party.
