CM Revanth Reddy has no control over his cabinet colleagues: NVSS

Hyderabad: TS BJP vice-president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had lost control over his Cabinet colleagues as many of them were acting independently making light of collective cabinet responsibility.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Prabhakar said the civil supplies and irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has been skipping Cabinet meetings. When there were allegations of irregularities and scams pertaining to the civil supplies ministry, Revanth Reddy’s failure to react reflected his inability to control his Cabinet colleagues, Prabhakar alleged.

Ministers were not conducting departmental review meetings and the industry ministry was not providing subsidies to small and medium scale industries nor is it in a position to extend the subsidies given by the Centre to promote cottage industries, Prabhakar said.

“Revanth Reddy is acting like a naam ke vaaste Chief Minister. If he has control over his cabinet, then he must respond to the allegations against the civil supplies department and come clean”, he said.

Prabhakar said that Revanth Reddy has been making regular visits to Delhi since the commencement of the Lok Sabha election process. It is suspected that he could be carrying money in his aircraft. Hence, the Election Commission must check his carrier, he demanded.
