Congress has become hate factory: PM Modi
PM Modi also claimed the Congress party attempted to mislead the public of all sections including Dalits, farmers, youth, but their efforts were thwarted
Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday accused the Congress of conspiring to incite conflicts among Hindus and pit communities against each other, adding that the grand old party’s plans had failed in Haryana. Calling Congress "irresponsible" and a "factory to spread hatred," Modi said the people of Haryana have shown that they will not fall for the hateful conspiracies of Congress and its urban Naxal allies.
The Prime Minister virtually launched various projects worth over Rs 7,600 crore in Maharashtra on Wednesday. In his speech, he signalled the beginning of the election campaign, stating that after Haryana, it's time for the BJP to secure victory in Maharashtra.
“The Haryana result has shown the mood of the country. Winning a third consecutive term (in Haryana) after completing two terms is historic. The BJP won in Haryana, and now we need to secure an even bigger victory in Maharashtra. The people of Maharashtra should vote for the BJP and Mahayuti alliance,” he said.
The PM alleged that the Congress has always thrived on a "divide and rule" policy. “They are always coming up with new plans to divide society and the country. Congress’s formula is clear: instill fear in Muslims and turn them into a vote bank. Congress knows that the more it divides Hindus, the more it benefits them,” he added.
He further alleged that Congress consistently fights elections along communal and casteist lines, accusing the party, which ruled the country for decades, of being desperate to regain power.
“Every day, they sow seeds of hatred in people’s minds. Soon after independence, Mahatma Gandhi sensed Congress's vile intentions, which is why he wanted to dismantle the party,” Modi stated.
Urging people to vote for the Mahayuti alliance of BJP, NCP, and Shiv Sena in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls, Modi said, “Congress is bent on destroying the country. We all need to be aware and cautious. I am confident that the people of Maharashtra will give a fitting response to these forces intent on destroying society. The people of Maharashtra must unite and vote for the Mahayuti government to ensure the development of the state and the country.”
During the virtual launch of various development projects worth more than Rs 7,600 crore in Maharashtra, Modi laid the foundation stones for the upgradation of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur and the New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport via video conference.
The PM also virtually inaugurated the Indian Institute of Skills in Mumbai and the Vidya Samiksha Kendra in Maharashtra, and launched 10 new government medical colleges across the state. Additionally, he announced the operationalisation of 10 Government Medical Colleges in Maharashtra.
The upgradation of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur will be completed at an estimated cost of around Rs 7,000 crore, while the New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport will be constructed at a cost of Rs 645 crore. The 10 new government medical colleges launched by the PM are located in Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, Amravati, Gadchiroli, Buldhana, Washim, Bhandara, Hingoli, and Ambernath (Thane).
