Mamata Didi Always Played Victim Card Politics: Amit Shah Publishes Chargesheegainst TMC Govt
Shah pointed out that only in Bengal were judicial officers deployed during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), a situation not seen anywhere else in the country. He said that the BJP would not only remove infiltrators from the voter list but also expel them from the country

Kolkata: Accusing West Bengal chief minister and Trinamul Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee of playing “victim card politics” before elections, union home minister Amit Shah claimed on Saturday that her theatrics would not work this time as people of the state have become seasoned with her stunts.
Mr Shah, who unveiled BJP’s ‘Chargesheet’ against 15 years of misrule of TMC before the media during his short visit here, also backed the Election Commission's special intensive revision (SIR) and urged the voters of Bengal to choose either “trust” or “fear” in the ensuing Assembly polls.
Targeting Ms Banerjee, the union home minister alleged, “Mamata Didi has always played victim card politics. Sometimes she breaks her legs or wears bandages on her head or develops illness or abuses the EC verbally posing as helpless. I have come to tell you, Mamata Didi, that the people of Bengal have understood your victim card politics very well. It does not suit the culture of Bengal to abuse the EC.”
His attack on the TMC chief refers to her injuries she had suffered in two separate accidents which forced her to take admission to hospital before Assembly polls in 2021 and Lok Sabha polls in 2024.
Asked about the CM’s high voltage charges of an undeclared President's Rule by the EC through the massive bureaucratic reshuffle, Mr Shah argued, “Wherever polls are held, the EC transfers the postings of the government officers whose work raises questions. It is prominent in Bengal because all the officers have largely become their (TMC) cadres. But if Ms Banerjee thinks she can gain sympathy by playing victim cards, she needs to reply to a concrete agenda. Otherwise, she can't escape.”
He observed, “People of Bengal have to decide whether they will elect trust or fear. Bengal needs trust to join the growth underway across the country getting out of fear for anarchy. Politics of fear, division, corruption, violence and lies have existed here for the last 15 years.”
Mr Shah then pointed out, “SIR is underway in many states. But judicial officers have not been appointed anywhere except Bengal. What is the reason? No court-case happened during SIR in Tamil Nadu where DMK is in power and Kerala ruled by Communists. Ms Banerjee should explain to the people of Bengal why the Supreme Court had to appoint judicial officers in SIR here. The reason is that the district magistrates didn't work without fear which prompted the SC to appoint judicial officers.”
Reiterating his vow of crackdown on the illegal immigrants, he added, “Should the infiltrators, who have been made voters, decide the future of Bengal? It is the people of Bengal who will decide it. We are determined to evict each and every infiltrator not only from Bengal but also from the country irrespective of whatever allegations Ms Banerjee levels. It is our party's agenda also.”
The union home minister further complained that Ms Banerjee has not allotted land to the Border Security Force still for fencing nearly 600 km-long borders to guard her politics of appeasement towards the infiltrators. He even assured a safe environment for women in the state after BJP forms its first government here.
