VISHAKHAPATNAM: The district’s Telugu Desam leaders are making extensive arrangements for TD chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘Raa Kadali Raa’ programme at Araku Valley in Alluri Sitarama Raju district on January 20.
After the event in Bobbili, this would be the second public meeting in North Andhra under the ‘Raa Kadali Raa’ programme.
TD leader Kidari Sravan Kumar, MLC Duvvarapu Ramarao and others are overseeing the stage works as also the arrangements for parking, helipad and seating at the public meeting venue in Araku Valley.
TD leaders from Araku and Dumbriguda mandal are also being engaged to make the programme a big success.
Being a Maoist violence-prone area, the ASR police have brought the landscape under a security blanket. Paderu Additional SP Dheeraj is monitoring the security arrangements. The bomb disposal squad and dog squad were seen conducting checks on Friday.
Naidu would arrive in Visakhapatnam around 11am from Hyderabad on Jan 20. He would leave for Araku Valley in a helicopter from Vizag airport. The meeting is tentatively scheduled between 11.40am and 1pm.
After the meeting, Naidu would leave for Mandapeta in Konaseema district to attend another public meeting.
