Radhakrishna Demands Swift Action on Kalaburagi Railway Division

Kalaburagi: Gulbarga MP Radhakrishna has voiced his concerns in Parliament regarding the prolonged delay in establishing a Railway Division in Kalaburagi, a long-standing demand of the people of his constituency and the Kalyana Karnataka (Hyderabad Karnataka) region.

Radhakrishna, who raised the issue under Rule 377 in Parliament, to grab the attention of the government, highlighted that establishing the Kalaburagi Railway Division is crucial for realizing the region's economic potential. The division was initially announced in the interim budget of 2014-15, with Rs 5 crore allocated for its creation. Additionally, the Karnataka government had provided the necessary land free of cost to support this initiative.

He stated that despite these efforts, there has been an inexplicable delay in commissioning the railway division, which Radhakrishna termed as a deprivation of economic opportunities for the people of Kalyana Karnataka. He pointed out the decade-long neglect by the BJP government, suggesting that the welfare and development of the Kalyana Karnataka region have not been prioritized.

The MP urgently demanded that the sanctioning and implementation of the long-pending railway division in Kalaburagi be fast-tracked.

Radhakrishna had met the Railway Minister on Saturday, during which he had stressed on this project to be expedited.
