Hyderabad: BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna expressed shock over the death of retired executive engineer Ranga Reddy, recently appointed adviser for irrigation projects of Mahbubnagar by the Congress government. His sudden death was a great loss, she said.
Aruna said Ranga Reddy had played a crucial role in designing the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme. He also had a major role in designing Nettempadu, Kalwakurthy, Bhima and Koilsagar projects. “We used to frequently take his suggestions with regard to irrigation projects of the united Palamuru district,” she said.
In a statement, Aruna said that the death of Ranga Reddy was a great loss for the farmers and people of Palamuru district. “Ranga Reddy was a soft-spoken person and close to our family,” she said and expressed deep sympathy to his bereaved family.
