Vijayawada: CPM leader Ch Babu Rao on Thursday demanded the state government to immediately release the pending dues for the Aarogya Sri network hospitals to prevent any disruption in the emergency medical services to the poor in the state.
In a media briefing, Babu Rao criticised the state government for its inaction with regard to release of pending dues to Aarogya Sri network hospitals and advised the government to stop playing with the lives of the poor and initiate steps to immediately address the issue.
Pointing to the CLAP drivers' protest in Vijayawada city, the CPM leader demanded the authorities concerned to pay the pending salaries to the drivers and cancel the CLAP contract with the third-party contracting agency. The CPM leader further demanded the authorities to roll back the decision to collect garbage cess from households and commercial establishments under Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) limits.
