Two Children Flying Kites Suffer Electric Shock
Karimnagar: Two children were severely injured after suffering electric shock when they came in contact with live wires while flying kites at Bhimunidubba Colony of Korutla town in the Jagtial district on Tuesday. According to the sub-inspector of police Kiran Kumar, the two children, identified as Thokala Satwik, 10, and Prashanth, 12, were flying kites on Sankranti on the terrace of their respective buildings, which were adjacent.
When the thread of the kite that Satwik was flying got stuck in the electricity wires, he tried to remove it seeking help from Prashanth. In a bid to detangle the thread off the wires, both children got electric shock receiving severe burns.
Their family members rushed to their rescue after listening to the screams of the children and rushed them to a private hospital, where they were undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors, said the police.
