Vijayawada: A high-level delegation from Pegasus Capital Advisors, led by industry leaders in climate, sustainability and agriculture, will visit India, from February 19 to 22, to engage in discussions and field visits aimed at advancing environmental and economic sustainability projects, including strengthening APCNF (Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming), a flagship project of the government of Andhra Pradesh.
The delegation includes Gina McCarthy, former White House National Climate Advisor and U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) administrator, Craig Cogut, founder, chairman, and CEO of Pegasus Capital and Keith Agoada, founder and CEO of Producers’ Trust.
The APCNF officials stated that the delegation will start the visit on February 19, by meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and agriculture minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu followed by discussions with key government officials on the rollout of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to drive holistic progress in the APCNF programme.
The officials explained that the next two days the delegation will go to field visits in Eluru and Krishna districts where they would undergo hands-on insights into ongoing initiatives in natural farming, alongside interactions with farmers and rural entrepreneurs.
The officials said that the final deliberations will shape a roadmap for implementing the MoU, concentrating on investment opportunities and long-term collaboration for post-harvest value addition and market offtake.
The APCNF officials stated that the visit will mark a significant step towards strengthening partnerships between Pegasus Capital Advisors, government agencies and industry stakeholders to drive climate resilience, agricultural innovation and natural farming advancement in India.
