Vijayawada: YSRC leaders led by MLA Malladi Vishnu lodged a complaint with the Election Commission on Tuesday regarding distribution of money to voters by Telugu Desam leaders and workers in Kothapeta assembly constituency.
Vishnu said that some of the Telugu Desam sympathisers openly distributed money, asking voters to vote for TD candidate Bandaru Satyananda Rao in the Kothapeta assembly constituency, which is a clear violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
MLA Vishnu said they have presented evidence, including video clips, in this regard to the returning officer of the constituency.
