Islamabad: Pakistani Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have arrested 2,533 terrorists across Pakistan over the last two years, the interior ministry said.
The major arrests during the period were made in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces where the number of such arrests was 1068 and 897 terrorists respectively.
The province-wise updates issued by ministry in a report said in Balochistan 193 terrorists were arrested during last two years, in Punjab 55, in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 42 and the number of arrested terrorists was 206 in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). In Gilgit-Baltistan 72 terrorists were arrested while no arrest was made in Pakistan Administrated Kashmir.
