Andhra Govt. Plans Major Upgrades for Penchalakona Temple

Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy unveils a master plan to enhance Penchalakona temple facilities, boost tourism, and restore temple heritage

Tirupati: Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy announced a comprehensive master plan for the development of Sri Penusila Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Penchalakona in Nellore district.

The minister spoke to media after visiting the temple along with Venkatagiri MLA K. Ramakrishna and offering special prayers.

Ramanarayana Reddy said improvements planned at the Penchalakona temple include better accommodation, upgraded darshan facilities and enhanced pilgrim conveniences.

The minister reiterated that the state government, with support from donors and devotees, is committed to transforming Penchalakona into a prominent spiritual destination.

Replying to a question, Ramanarayana Reddy acknowledged that several development projects that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had initiated remain stalled. He assured that discussions will be held with devasthanam authorities to expedite the completion of these projects.

Highlighting the broader vision of the NDA-alliance government, the minister said efforts have been intensified to restore the spiritual and cultural significance of temples across the state.

“Religious festivals and rituals are being conducted in strict adherence to traditions, under the supervision of Vedic scholars. The state government is also actively involved in restoration and development of ancient temples to preserve heritage and promote religious tourism,” Ramanarayana Reddy added.
