AP Chambers hails new Tourism Policy, calls for beach focus
Vijayawada: The AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation has praised the AP government's new Tourism Policy and thanked it for granting industry status to the tourism sector across all segments.
In a statement, AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskar Rao highlighted the federation's active involvement in tourism development by providing regular policy suggestions. He noted that many of the suggestions submitted by the AP Chambers have been incorporated into the new policy, which he believes is an improvement over the 2014-19 policy.
Bhaskar Rao emphasised the tourism sector’s potential to create significant employment opportunities, particularly for the youth of the state. He also urged the government to focus on developing major beaches in AP to attract more tourists and complete beach development projects within a year to capitalize on beach tourism. The AP Chambers also thanked the state government for organizing the "Tourism Investors Engagement Programme" on December 17 in Vijayawada.
