All I can say is that this day will be written in golden letters in the political history of Chhattisgarh for achieving a historic victory in the municipal elections”.
Mr Sai has attributed the landslide victory of BJP in the civic body polls to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong leadership and the performance of the 13-month-old BJP government in Chhattisgarh.
The BJP has won the mayoral posts in Raipur, Ambikapur, Korba, Chirmiri, Jagdalpur, Durg, Dhamtari, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, and Raigarh municipal corporations.

Mr Sai was leading the campaign for the party in the civic body polls.
After the results, BJP national president J P Nadda called Mr Sai and state party president Kiran Singh Deo to congratulate them for the massive victory of the party in the urban local body polls.
“This historic victory is a symbol of the unwavering faith of the people of the state on the public welfare and tribal-friendly schemes being implemented by the double-engine government under the guidance of the respective Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, Mr Nadda said in his post on X.
This was the first civic body polls fought by BJP under Mr Sai’s leadership.
