Chhattisgarh Ministers Trained in Good Governance at IIM Raipur
Raipur: In a first of its kind initiative in the country, the Vishnu Deo Sai ministry has undergone a two-day training on good governance, conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Raipur.
Designed by IIM, Raipur, the initiative, christened as ‘Chintan Shivir’, aims at imparting the nuances of management to chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his ministerial colleagues, a press release issued by the Chhattisgarh government here on Saturday said.
“With the objective to impart the nuances of management to the ministers of Chhattisgarh, promote collaboration, innovation, and foresight, and discuss necessary reforms of the state, the IIM, Raipur designed and organised a unique event called ‘Chintan Shivr’”, the press release said.
The two-day event ended on Saturday.
It was the first of its kind event in the country initiated by the chief minister, a spokesman of the state government said.
The event aimed at enhancing the state government’s vision for building ‘Viksit (developed) Chhattisgarh’ through insightful deliberations with the subject experts.
Mr Sai and his ministerial colleagues exchanged and explored ideas on good governance and best practices with the experts on the occasion.
Renowned subject experts in the country took classes for the ministers.
The subjects taught to the ministers focused on the strategic roadmap for designing and implementing the vision of ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’.
The discussions also centred on establishing time-bound targets towards realising the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh, aligned with the broader goals of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
“The uniqueness of this meaningful dialogue lay in its dual focus: while addressing the needs, priorities, and possibilities of Chhattisgarh, it also provided a platform for the government to receive important suggestions from the experts”, the spokesman said.
NITI Aayog CEO B V R Subramanyam, former CEO of NITI Aayog and G20 Sherpa Amitabha Kant and leading management gurus in the country gave lectures on different subjects at the event.
