Hyderabad:An 18-year-old girl died allegedly by suicide at her sister’s residence, the Narsingi police said on Thursday. The incident occurred a couple of days ago and was reported on Thursday.
According to Narsingi inspector Hari Krishna Reddy, the victim, Sreeja, a student of the Women’s University at Koti and a hosteller, would occasionally visit her sister’s place. On the day the incident occurred, she entered the house when her sister and her husband were away.
On their return, the couple found the door locked and Sreeja was not answering their calls. They broke the door open and found Sreeja’s body. Police was called who shifted the body to the Osmania Hospital mortuary for postmortem. Police were awaiting the postmortem report.
