Adilabad:Four members of a family attempted to die by suicide, leaving two dead while two others are undergoing treatment at RIMS in Adilabad on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Rakesh, 35, and his relative Spandana, 17, of Kapparla village in Tamsi mandal. They attempted suicide in an agriculture field near Umdam village.
Rakesh’s wife Lavanya and his daughter Prashamsha, 10, are undergoing treatment. Police are investigating the incident and the reasons for their extreme step are not yet known.
Mystery shrouds cameraman’s death
Nizamabad:A cameraman, 35, of a local news channel, died in suspicious circumstances at Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy temple road on Alisgar-Jankampet main road in Yedapally mandal on Thursday night. Mahipal was coming from his native Thanakalan to Nizamabad on motorbike.
Passersby noticed him with injuries on both his legs and called an ambulance. Reportedly, Mahipal refused to go in an ambulance and waited for his relatives to reach Government General Hospital in Nizamabad. The staff of the ambulance took video of the victim as he refused to enter the ambulance.
Relatives shifted him to Government General Hospital in Nizamabad. He succumbed while undergoing treatment. Mahipal is survived by wife and a son. Yedapally police registered a case and are investigating.
