Kurnool:The Kurnool three town police arrested a motorcycle thief on Saturday and seized 12 stolen motorcycles and an auto worth Rs 9,10,000, according to Kurnool DSP J. Babu Prasad.
In response to the rising number of motorcycle thefts in Kurnool city, a special team led by three town circle inspector Seshaiah was formed. During routine checks at the Nandyal check post on Saturday morning, the police apprehended a suspicious individual attempting to flee. The suspect, identified as Nagula Vinay from Kondapet, Dhone town in Nandyal district, was linked to 13 theft cases.
The DSP confirmed that the recovered vehicles are valued at `9.10 lakh and stated that Vinay would be remanded. Further investigations are underway to ascertain his involvement in additional cases.
