Hyderabad:The Jubilee Hills police booked a car driver who, in a drunken state, had sexually assaulted a 19-year-old employee at her house in the basement of a real estate office in Jubilee Hills.
The case came to light on Monday after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police against the driver, who is a family friend, accusing him of raping her daughter, police said.
The complainant stated that the accused Shiva, who works as a driver in a private firm, had on February 6 gone to their house around 8 pm with three beer bottles. By then, the victim’s brother had left for work on the ground floor, police said.
Around 11.30 pm the victim's mother went to meet her son. At 12.05 am, the accused pounced on the victim, who was sleeping and raped her, the complainant said.
Clues teams collected samples from the crime scene and the police booked a case in crime number 87 of 2025 under section 64 BNS (grave). SHO Jubilee Hills K. Venkateswar Reddy is investigating the case.
