Cops book real estate firm for cheating

Hyderabad:The LB Nagar police registered a case against the officials of Kirthi Infra, real estate company, following a complaint on Tuesday.

The case was booked based on a complaint lodged by Bharatha Raveender, a resident of Chanchalguda, in December. Bharatha claimed that representatives from Krithi Infra, including D. Srikanth, D. Gopal, Bhukya Radha, and executive director Shashi Kanth, approached him through their sales manager Supriya and offered to sell an apartment in a 16-floor gated community and sought advance payment of `42 lakh.

The complainant paid `32 lakh through cheques but later developed doubts and asked for a refund. The developers failed to refund the money despite several reminders; its cheques bounced due to insufficient funds, he said.

According to a police officer, there are approximately 100 people who paid the accused for houses. He also observed that while the victims were not filing complaints, they expected the return of their investment.
