Hyderabad:A 53-year-old man working in a private firm became the latest victim of online scam involving the PM Kisan scheme. He stays at old Safilguda. The victim received a WhatsApp message offering benefits under the government scheme. The message containing a link appeared to be genuine and the victim clicked on it and unknowingly shared OTP which resulted in deduction of `1.9 lakh from his bank account.
Unaware of the ongoing cyber fraud in the name of Central government schemes, the victim clicked on the suspicious link and shared the OTP. The victim immediately reported the matter to police. After investigation, the Rachakonda cybercrime police have registered a case.
