Pune: Narrow Escape For 40 Students As Drunk Driver Stops School Bus Near A Well

A major mishap was averted in Pune's Wadki area after a school bus carrying 40 students got stuck at the edge of a well.

The bus was taking the students of Modak International School home after the school hours when the driver, who was drunk, reportedly lost control of the vehicle while passing through an internal road. He could bring the vehicle to a halt only at the edge of a deep well.

Locals who witnessed the incident soon gathered at the place and helped the students get out of the bus.

On information, police reached the place and moved the vehicle with the help of a crane.

Police said that an inquiry was taken up to know if the incident occurred due to the negligence of the driver or due to the bad road conditions.
