Theft in Mohan Babu's House, Helper Nabbed

Hyderabad:Three days after actor Mohan Babu’s secretary filed a theft complaint with Pahadishareef police, the accused was nabbed in Tirupati. The theft took place in Jalpalli village in the servants’ quarters in Mohan Babu’s residence on September 22. The accused is identified as Vadithe Ganesh Naik, 24, working as an office boy.

According to the police, the actor’s secretary arrived from Tirupati with Rs 10 lakh cash and placed it in his room in the servant quarters. When the complainant noticed that cash was missing, he informed the police. They checked the CCTV footage, in which the accused was seen moving suspiciously and leaving the house during late hours.

Pahadishareef police formed teams and gathered the technical evidence, which led them to Tirupati. The police apprehended Naik in Tirupati on Wednesday. He was charged under the Section 306 of BNS and was remanded on the same day. Police seized Rs 7.3 lakh cash and a mobile phone from the accused.
