According to the police, the accused have been identified as G. Sudhakar, 34, and Pille Sekhar, 42, both from Hyderabad, and G. Srinivasulu Reddy, 23, from Giddalur in Prakasam district. SP V. Harshavardhan Raju said the trio, addicted to various vices, had formed a gang specializing in burglaries across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The accused targeted locked houses after conducting reconnaissance in residential areas during the day. Once they identified vulnerable properties, they would strike at night, escaping with valuables. Their modus operandi was consistent across multiple cases registered in both Telugu states, the SP said.
During the arrest, police recovered 277 grams of gold ornaments along with a car used by the gang. SP Harshavardhan Raju urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.
