CBI Questions Odisha Principal Secretary’s Driver in Bribery Case

Bhubaneswar: Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday questioned Nursingha Satapathy, the driver of senior Odisha bureaucrat Bishnupada Sethi, in connection with the Rs 10 lakh bribery money seizure case. The interrogation took place at the CBI office in Bhubaneswar.

After emerging from the questioning session, Nursingha revealed that the officials primarily focused on the activities and whereabouts of Bishnupada Sethi.

“The CBI officials asked me about where Bishnupada Sethi goes after his office hours and with whom he interacts. They also inquired about his location on the evening of December 7,” Nursingha stated.

He further disclosed that two other drivers associated with Bishnupada Sethi were also questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.

“I have no involvement in the incident. I shared everything I knew with the officials,” Nursingha added.

The investigation into the bribery case has intensified following the arrest of three individuals on December 6. In light of these developments, the CBI summoned Bishnupada Sethi and his driver to assist in the inquiry.

According to the official summons, Bishnupada Sethi was required to appear at the CBI office in Bhubaneswar on December 11 at 10.00 am.
